I think I may a love a basket more than most, and have been to some incredible factories both locally and in Vietnam before where it truly is an art form.
Its quite remarkable watching how some simple fibres are transformed into vessels of sheer beauty. Much like watching someone plaster a wall, it definately looks easier than it actually is.
Besides being used in a multitude of ways to store, house and ultimately hide a multitude of things, they are also a way of bringing gentle texture and organic form into a space.
With winter driving us all slightly round the bend, we thought we would style a shoot and become total basket cases.
